Position :- Port Captain
Experience :- 10 to 15 years experience
- Specific responsibilities range from ensuring the effective safe management of navigation, through to the provision of Vessel Traffic Services, Pilotage, Lighterage operation, Channel survey, Marker Buoys, Port & Traffic management and associated maritime services.
- To act as the statuary Harbour Master for the company.
- To manage the Authority's Marine Operations safely efficiently and cost-effective, including the provision of Pilotage, VTS and the maintenance of crafts and equipment to ensure that the functions of the Authority are properly carried out and in compliance with the port Marine Safety Code.
- Ensure that Flotillas comply in accordance with company and legal requirements.
- Conduct investigations and analysis for any non-conformance, accident ,hazardous occurrence and take corrective /preventive action to ensure safe operation of vessel.
- Prepare and attend to shipboard inspection and Port safety audits to ensure compliance to standard.
